A two-year lifecycle, overwinters as a larva

Recorded size range of fully grown larvae - 18 to 21mm

Usual larval stage July to the second May

Adult forewing - around 9 to 11mm. Flies mid-May to mid-July

Larval foodplants : Larvae feed inside the stems of of the Wayfaring Tree (Viburnum lantana) and Guelder Rose (V. opulus)
