372 Dusky Clearwing (Paranthrene tabaniformis)
Single-brooded. Life cycle unknown but probably overwinters twice as a larva. Probably extinct in the UK
Recorded size range of fully grown larvae - 16 to 20mm
Adult forewing - around 12 to 15mm. Flies late May to mid-July
Larval foodplants : Larvae feed inside the trunks and stems of Aspen poplar (Populus tremula) and other poplars
