1820 Pinion-spotted Pug (Eupithecia insigniata)
Single-brooded, overwinters as a pupa. Occasional migrant to the UK
Recorded size of fully grown larvae - 24 to 26mm
Usual larval stage mid-June to early August
Adult forewing - around 10 to 12mm. Flies Late April to May
Larval foodplants : Hawthorn (Crataegus spp.) and apple (Malus spp.)
