Double-brooded, overwinters as a larva
Usual larval stages June to July and September to May
Adult wingspan 17 to 25mm. Flies May to June and August to September
Larval foodplants :Reported foodplants include Devil's-bit scabious (Succisa pratensis), Field scabious (Knautia arvensis)
and Small scabious (Scabiosa columbaria)
