Single-brooded, overwinters as a larva

Recorded larval stage August to March

Adult forewing - around 6.5 to 9.5mm. Flies May to mid-June

Larval foodplants : Larval foodplants : In the buds of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris)

and less often Shore Pine (Pinus contorta) or Corsican Pine (Pinus nigra)
